We collect only what's necessary to provide the service. We don't sell your data or use advertising trackers.
1. Data We Collect
- Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
- Username — your public display name in the app
- Birth country — used to set your home country on the map
- Language preference — Portuguese, English or French
- Visited countries, regions and cities — the core travel data you choose to log
- Achievements — derived from your travel data, calculated on-device
- Avatar and display settings — your chosen avatar and privacy preferences
- Premium status — whether you have an active subscription
- Friend relationships — usernames of friends you connect with
- Camera permission — declared by a third-party SDK (image picker library) used for selecting images from your gallery for share cards. Voytrix does not access your camera directly.
We do not collect GPS location, device contacts, or behavioral analytics.
2. Local Storage
To enable offline access, a snapshot of your data (visited places, settings, and profile) is cached locally on your device. This snapshot is updated each time you're online and used as a fallback when there's no internet connection.
This data never leaves your device independently — it's a local mirror of your cloud data.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, sync and maintain the Voytrix service across your devices
- To display your travel map, progress and achievements
- To enable social features (friends, shared maps and achievements)
- To manage and verify your premium subscription
- To send authentication emails (OTP codes, password reset)
- To diagnose and fix technical errors (via Sentry, with anonymized data)
4. Third-Party Services
We share data only with the following providers, strictly necessary to operate the service:

Database, authentication and file storage
RevenueCat
Subscription and in-app purchase management
Sentry
Crash and error monitoring (anonymized)
Resend
Transactional email delivery
Google Play / App Store
Payment processing for subscriptions
5. Visibility Controls
You control what other users can see. In Profile → Settings → Privacy, you can independently set your map and achievements to Friends only or Private. Only accepted friends can ever see your data, and only if you allow it.
6. Your Rights
- Access — all your data is visible within the app
- Deletion — delete your account and all data at any time via Profile → Delete Account. All data is removed within 30 days.
- Portability — contact us to request a data export
- Correction — update your profile data at any time in the app
7. Security
All data is stored with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled — each user can only access their own data. Authentication uses secure OTP codes sent to your email. All communication is encrypted over HTTPS.
8. Children's Privacy
Voytrix is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@voytrix.app.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
